Chef Trev’s Cornbread

Serves: 4-6     |     Prep Time:  15 Minutes     |     Cook Time:  20 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Cornmeal
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 Cup Buttermilk
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1 Cup Flower
  • Two Eggs
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Dark-Brown Sugar
  • 3ml Cannabis Infused Oil

Directions

  1. Add cornmeal, baking powder, flour, salt, dark brown sugar, and sugar into a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, melt butter and set aside.
  3. In a third bowl, add buttermilk, eggs, and infused oil and mix well.
  4. Make a hole in the middle of the dry mix and pour the buttermilk mix into the center.
  5. Gently blend while adding the melted butter.
  6. Mix until no clumps are visible, do not overmix!
  7. Lightly grease and flour a cast iron skillet or your choice of baking pan.
  8. Pour the batter into pan and place in the oven.
  9. Bake at 400F for 15 to 20 minutes.
  10. Check doneness with a toothpick, if clean after poking, the cornbread is cooked.
