High Speed started in July of 2023 and is proud to have recently celebrated its one-year anniversary (July 5). The company was founded by David Owen and Adam Grimmet, who both share industry experience, albeit in different ways: Already the owner of a hemp company in Texarkana, David has experience on the hemp side of cannabis, whereas Adam previously ran a dispensary and did bonds for dispensaries, making him well-versed in the cannabis industry. The goal of High Speed has been to bring more answers to the cannabis market that are patient-focused. We are focusing more on solventless products and using less chemicals because we believe that’s what the market needs.

What Makes High Speed Unique?
Our facility is solventless, meaning we do our best to utilize fewer chemicals and gear our products toward the solventless market by using hash and resin — something many processors do not do. We are also exceptionally passionate about our patients and their quality of life; therefore, we are constantly in the field gauging the needs of our patients.

Something That Might Surprise Readers
We don’t have many employees at our Hot Springs facility; however, in spite of that, we do a robust business in a small space. A lot of that has to do with how hard our employees work to serve our patients there.

Challenges and Rewards
One of the biggest challenges for us, and probably many Arkansas processors like us, is the legal parameters that have been imposed on the cannabis industry. Everything has to be approved before we release any product to market. Nevertheless, one of the most rewarding aspects of our work is being able to determine which products are made and where they are sold to give greater access to patients.

Company Evolution
We have shifted to more solventless products, a goal that has shifted throughout this year. We have also evolved to have our products in every dispensary, which is a huge milestone for us. We also took on selling products for Carpenter Farms, which has transformed our company. Despite these changes, however, it’s important to point out that we’ve also stayed true to our roots and stayed small — we’re a very small, close-knit company and have remained patient-driven from the start.

Patient Satisfaction
One of the primary ways we ensure customer satisfaction is by making sure patients have access to cannabis products that have different properties they need.

Products We Love
We have a gummy line with Cheeba Chews that has a lot of minor cannabinoids in it; CBCs, CBG and all those minor cannabinoids paired with THC, they’re really good for the patient. The gummy market is already very saturated, so not everyone wants to sell these products, but we did our due diligence to get this product out there into the market and stores so patients have access to it, and we have seen a lot of benefits in patients with these gummies.
